The Harley-Davidson VRSCDX Night Rod Special “The Terminator”, re-engineered by ELVN Motorcycles, is a one-of-one custom motorcycle built around a simple philosophy: resilience, dominance, and uncompromising presence.
Based on the iconic Night Rod Special, this 2025 commission transforms the original Harley-Davidson platform into a machine with a much more aggressive identity, combining handcrafted details, custom engineering, extreme proportions, and a dark visual character.
Known as “The Terminator,” this custom Harley-Davidson was designed to endure and command attention without asking for it. Its low stance, muscular bodywork, enormous rear tire, exposed mechanical elements, and blacked-out finish create an imposing silhouette that feels both modern and brutal. Every element has a purpose, contributing to a motorcycle that looks ready to move even when standing still.
At the heart of The Terminator is a 1250 cc engine producing 130 horsepower, connected to a five-speed transmission. The powertrain provides the muscular performance expected from the Night Rod Special while supporting the character of a motorcycle that has been extensively re-engineered. Rather than simply modifying the original design, ELVN Motorcycles has developed a complete custom interpretation around the engine and chassis.
The chassis features a double swingarm configuration, complemented by an air ride suspension system that allows the motorcycle to achieve its distinctive low and aggressive stance. Custom CNC-machined body components further reinforce the technical character of the build, giving The Terminator a precision-crafted appearance that contrasts with the raw mechanical presence of the engine, wheels, and exhaust system.
One of the most striking aspects of this Harley-Davidson custom is its extreme wheel and tire configuration. The front uses an 18-inch wheel with a 200 mm width, while the rear is fitted with an enormous 18-inch, 360 mm setup. The massive rear tire dominates the motorcycle’s profile, giving it exceptional visual presence and creating the unmistakable wide-body stance that defines the build.
The handcrafted details continue with a solo seat, reinforcing the motorcycle’s focused and uncompromising character. The seat complements the minimalist rear section while allowing the huge rear wheel and custom chassis to remain the visual center of attention. It is a design decision that emphasizes individuality rather than practicality.
The exhaust system is equally aggressive. Tap Performance double exhausts extend from the lower section of the motorcycle, adding another layer of mechanical character to the build. Their substantial appearance works perfectly with the wide rear configuration, creating a cohesive relationship between the engine, chassis, exhaust, and massive tire.
