The Harley-Davidson Night Rod Special VRSCDX has always been one of the brand’s most aggressive designs.
X-Trem takes that attitude several steps further with the “Interlagos”, a muscular wide-tire custom built around the V-Rod’s distinctive architecture.
The centerpiece is the X-Trem 280/35 VR18 wide-tire conversion, fitted with a Metzeler ME888. Up front, a 120/70 ZR19 Metzeler ME888 complements the stance, while the black high-gloss wheels receive elaborate painted pinstripes that are sealed beneath the finish.
The chassis has been given a serious makeover, too. A Legend Air air suspension lowers the bike on demand, while the fork tubes receive a black DLC coating. X-Trem also fitted a headlight lowering kit, black LED headlight and a Speedfighter handlebar with LSL risers and Gatlin controls.
The bodywork follows a cohesive Ram Air theme. The rear fender incorporates recessed LED taillights and indicators, along with handmade air inlets backed by mesh. Matching Ram Air treatment appears on the airbox cover, radiator cover and side corner covers, while a GT tank cover and grooved custom front fender sharpen the profile.
One of the most distinctive details is the handmade seat. It combines carbon-leather edging with Alcantara upholstery and gray diamond topstitching, giving the otherwise hard-edged V-Rod a more sophisticated cockpit.
The exhaust is equally purposeful: a Remus 2-2 custom complete system with EGBE adds visual weight to the lower half of the bike, while wave brake discs front and rear, an aluminum brake-fluid reservoir and black-finished controls bring the hardware into line with the overall design.
X-Trem also paid attention to the smaller components. The pulley cover features machined design details backed by mesh grids, while the swingarm, front axle and control components are finished in black. Gatlin footpegs and shift peg, Stealth underhand mirrors and a milled aluminum side license-plate holder complete the package.
The result is a Night Rod Special that feels less like a conventional Harley cruiser and more like a low-slung performance machine. The huge 280-section rear tire, air suspension, Ram Air bodywork and black-and-orange detailing give the “Interlagos” an unmistakably custom silhouette without losing the character of the V-Rod platform.
