X-132 Hellcat Combat by Combat motors

There are custom motorcycles that refine an existing formula, and then there are machines that seem to have been designed with an entirely different rulebook.

The X-132 Hellcat Combat by Combat Motors belongs firmly in the second category. Low, compact and brutally mechanical, it combines a hand-built chassis with serious suspension and braking hardware, carbon-fiber wheels and a 160-bhp engine.

The Hellcat name is fitting. This is not a motorcycle built around chrome, comfort or traditional cruiser styling. The X-132 is closer to an American street fighter, with its exposed mechanical character and compact proportions giving it an aggressive, almost industrial presence.

At the center of the bike is an engine producing 160 bhp and 160 lb-ft of torque. That is a substantial amount of performance for a motorcycle with such a focused chassis. The powerplant is housed in a Combat-optimized, machined 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum unitized case, giving the engine a technical centerpiece that matches the rest of the bike.

Power is delivered through a Combat-optimized five-speed transmission using land-speed-racer gearing. Combat Motors also developed a patented output-shaft bearing support system, adding another layer of engineering to a drivetrain designed around the Hellcat’s substantial torque.

The chassis is equally serious. A 3-inch, 120-wall hard-steel backbone is paired with a matching 3-inch, 120-wall hard-steel down tube. The frame is fabricated and hand TIG welded, giving the motorcycle a distinctly handcrafted character while maintaining the structural rigidity expected from a performance-focused machine.

Suspension comes from a custom WP 48 mm front fork, with adjustable rebound and compression damping. At the rear, a custom Race Tech coil-over shock offers the same range of adjustment. This is a setup aimed at riders who want to tune the chassis rather than simply ride it as delivered.

The braking package is another indication of the Hellcat’s performance ambitions. Up front, dual Beringer four-piston AEROTEC radial calipers work with dual Beringer AERONAL floating ductile-iron rotors. At the rear is a two-piston Brembo Monobloc caliper paired with a cross-drilled Brembo stainless-steel disc.

Then there are the wheels. The X-132 Hellcat Combat uses BlackStone Tek carbon-fiber wheels, measuring 3.5 x 17 inches at the front and 6 x 17 inches at the rear. They are wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Rosso tires, with a 120/70 ZR front and a substantial 190/55 ZR rear.

The combination gives the Hellcat a more contemporary performance-bike stance than its American custom-bike roots might suggest. The 17-inch wheels, 29-degree rake and 3.9-inch trail point toward a motorcycle designed to respond to steering inputs rather than simply cruise in a straight line.

Its geometry also contributes to the compact visual impression. The wheelbase measures 66.5 inches, while the seat sits just 28 inches from the ground. Controls are positioned in a mid-rear configuration, and the handlebar has a 70 mm rise with a 55 mm sweep. The result is a riding position that looks purposeful without becoming excessively extreme.

The fuel tank is another distinctive component. Combat Motors uses a proprietary deep-drawn steel fuel cell with a 4.75-gallon capacity, finished in Combat Matte Green with personalized graphics. It gives the motorcycle a visual focal point while retaining the raw, hand-built aesthetic that runs through the entire machine.

Lighting is deliberately simple. A 5.75-inch round LED headlamp incorporates high and low beam functions, running lights and the blinker system, while the rear uses an LED tail lamp with integrated brake and running lights. The round headlight adds a classic touch to an otherwise highly modern and aggressive motorcycle.

Instrumentation follows the same philosophy. A Motogadget precision analogue tachometer is combined with a digital display for speed and motorcycle status. It is a clean solution that keeps the rider’s attention on the essentials without covering the cockpit in unnecessary screens.

What makes the X-132 Hellcat Combat interesting is the tension between its different identities. It has the handcrafted construction and visual attitude of an American custom, but its specification reads more like a serious performance machine. WP suspension, Race Tech damping, Beringer brakes, Brembo hardware, carbon-fiber wheels and Pirelli Diablo Rosso tires are not decorative choices. They give the Hellcat the equipment to match its aggressive appearance.

The motorcycle’s design also avoids the usual excesses associated with high-powered custom bikes. There is little unnecessary decoration. Instead, the engineering is left visible, from the massive frame tubes to the exposed suspension and compact bodywork. The result is a motorcycle that looks almost purpose-built for a straight-to-the-apex attack.

That makes the X-132 Hellcat Combat a particularly distinctive entry in the world of American custom motorcycles. It doesn’t try to imitate a European superbike, nor does it follow the conventional cruiser template. Combat Motors has created something that sits in its own space: an American-built performance machine with a strong custom identity.

With 160 bhp, 160 lb-ft of torque, carbon-fiber wheels, fully adjustable suspension and high-specification braking, the Hellcat has the hardware to back up its visual aggression. Add the hand-TIG-welded steel chassis and the Combat-specific drivetrain, and the result is a motorcycle that feels as much like a piece of mechanical sculpture as it does a road-going machine.
