TB Frames Racing Series ‘Grand Prix 2’ by Thunderbike

There are motorcycles that follow rules, and then there are machines built to break them completely.

The TB Frames Racing Series “Grand Prix 2” by Thunderbike belongs firmly in the second category. Built in 2017 as part of Thunderbike’s exclusive Racing Series, this motorcycle is a bold fusion of drag racing engineering and custom craftsmanship, designed to deliver both extreme performance and undeniable visual impact.

From the first glance, the silhouette tells the entire story. The bike sits long, low, and aggressively stretched, built around a Thunderbike dragster frame with a dramatic 36° steering head tilt. This extreme geometry defines its identity, giving it a presence that feels fast even at a standstill. The extended front end, enhanced by a Thunderbike GP setup with an additional 1.5° rake, pushes the proportions even further, creating a machine that looks like it belongs on a drag strip rather than a public road.

At the heart of the build lies the powerful Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle 110ci engine, a Twin Cam EFI unit known for its torque and raw character. This engine provides the perfect foundation for a bike of this caliber, delivering strong, immediate power that matches the aggressive design. Paired with an NH Power primary and a full Thunderbike Grand Prix exhaust system, the sound and performance combine to create a truly visceral riding experience.

The engineering behind the Grand Prix 2 goes far beyond the engine. Every structural and mechanical component has been carefully designed to support both performance and aesthetics. The Thunderbike RS singleside swingarm adds a clean and technical look to the rear while maintaining strength and stability. The Air Ride suspension system allows the bike to shift between a low, show-ready stance and a more practical riding position, offering versatility without compromising its radical design.

The wheel setup is one of the most defining features of this build. At the front, a massive Thunderbike Grand Prix 4×23 wheel is fitted with an Avon 130/60-23 tire, creating a tall and dominant front profile. At the rear, a 9×21 wheel wrapped in a Metzeler 260/35-21 tire provides a wide, muscular foundation. This combination reinforces the drag-inspired stance and ensures that the bike maintains a strong and stable presence on the road.

Braking performance is equally impressive, featuring a **Brembo radial front caliper paired with a 340mm Thunderbike brake disc. At the rear, a Nissin 6-piston perimeter brake system combined with a 21-inch Thunderbike disc delivers both stopping power and visual impact. These high-performance components ensure that the bike’s power is matched by precise control.

What truly elevates the Grand Prix 2 is the level of integration across every detail. Thunderbike has developed nearly all components in-house, including the fuel tank, fenders, handlebars, grips, forward controls, air cleaner, and headlamp. This results in a motorcycle that feels cohesive and purpose-built, where every element contributes to the overall design and function.

The final layer of this build comes from the paintwork, executed by Ingo Kruse of Kruse Design. The finish enhances the bike’s sharp lines and aggressive proportions, turning it into a true piece of rolling art. It’s a visual identity that perfectly complements the engineering beneath.

The Grand Prix 2.0 is more than just a custom motorcycle—it’s a statement of what happens when racing inspiration meets uncompromising design. It captures the essence of speed, power, and innovation, blending dragster aesthetics with street presence in a way that very few bikes can achieve.

For those who appreciate extreme custom builds and high-end craftsmanship, the TB Frames Racing Series “Grand Prix 2” stands as a true icon—an unapologetic machine built to push boundaries and redefine expectations.
