]]>Bündnerbike, the renowned Swiss custom workshop, has taken the Harley-Davidson Softail platform to a whole new level of design and performance with this exceptional build—aptly named the ‘Bugatti’.
Inspired by hypercar aesthetics and infused with premium components, this custom Softail is a stunning fusion of brute force and refined engineering.
At first glance, the most striking element is the massive 300mm rear tire mounted on a bespoke Bündnerbike 3D 18-inch rear rim. Paired with a matching 21-inch 3D front rim, the motorcycle establishes an aggressive and futuristic stance that commands attention from every angle. The Ohlins front fork ensures exceptional handling and ride quality, while the custom suspension system, tested and installed by Bündnerbike, maintains performance and comfort.
Every structural element reflects precision craftsmanship. The modified Harley-Davidson frame and custom fuel tank are both designed in-house by Bündnerbike. Finishing details like the side-mounted number plate holder, custom oil tank, and integrated inner gas system further enhance the bike’s sleek silhouette. The handlebar, fork bridge, and other signature elements have been completely reworked to deliver an ultra-clean and muscular profile.
In terms of performance, this machine doesn’t compromise. The powerful V-twin engine breathes through a high-performance Bündnerbike air filter, while the Kess Tech exhaust system delivers a deep, throaty roar that matches the bike’s bold personality. Braking is handled by Brembo components, including both the manual controls and brake system, ensuring confidence and control at all speeds.
Finishing touches include PM footpegs, a unique Grison bike saddle, and an expertly executed paint job by Ludwig, showcasing a matte black body with an electric blue stripe that emphasizes the bike’s aggressive flow and aerodynamic lines.

]]>As Thunderbike evolved from a motorcycle shed, Frank has also grown over the past 35 years. From mopeds to Suzuki, and eventually to his second custom bike, he has been on this journey with us. Now, a new project is on the horizon: a Radical Over frame powered by a 110 Harley engine will serve as the foundation for his latest bike.
The biker from Neuss is fully committed to this project and willingly makes the 100-kilometer journey to Thunderbike to check out the latest progress on his bike. Back in 2004, our custom mechanic Rainer built Frank’s first Harley, a freestyle-based custom bike.
