The Harley-Davidson V-Rod has always been one of the most radical platforms ever produced by Harley-Davidson, a motorcycle designed to break away from the brand’s traditional cruiser formula.

With its powerful liquid-cooled engine, muscular stance and drag-bike DNA, the V-Rod quickly became a favorite canvas for custom builders around the world.

Among the many extreme interpretations of this iconic machine, the “Mean & Green” created by Hans Bozzies stands out as one of the most aggressive and visually striking builds ever made. This extraordinary custom transforms the already powerful V-Rod into a futuristic muscle bike with brutal proportions, premium components and an unmistakable presence on the road.

From the very first glance, the Mean & Green commands attention with its ultra-wide stance and sculpted bodywork. The design flows seamlessly from the custom tank to the rear section, creating a single cohesive shape that looks more like a concept motorcycle than a production-based build. Many of the components have been designed and manufactured specifically for this project by Bozzies.

The bike features a Bozzies custom tank, matching Bozzies handlebar, a unique Bozzies headlight, and an integrated Bozzies taillight system that maintains the clean and minimalist lines of the rear section. Additional details such as the Bozzies fender, mudguard and footpegs further reinforce the handcrafted character of the machine, while the bold metallic green paintwork — also created by Bozzies — gives the motorcycle its unmistakable identity and perfectly justifies the “Mean & Green” name.

One of the most dramatic elements of this build is the enormous rear tire, which completely transforms the silhouette of the bike. The V-Rod rides on a massive 360-section tire from Vee Rubber, giving the motorcycle an extreme drag-bike appearance and emphasizing its powerful stance. This oversized rear setup not only enhances the visual impact but also highlights the engineering work required to adapt the chassis to accommodate such an impressive wheel. The wide tire, combined with the stretched swingarm and the ultra-low riding position, creates a machine that looks ready to dominate both the street and the show floor.

Performance and handling have not been overlooked in this radical project. At the front, the motorcycle is equipped with high-end suspension components from Öhlins, ensuring precise control and stability. At the rear, Platinum Air Suspension shock absorbers allow adjustable ride height, enabling the bike to sit extremely low when parked while still maintaining functionality on the road.

This air suspension system contributes significantly to the dramatic stance of the Mean & Green and enhances the bike’s ability to combine style with performance. To match the power and weight of the build, the braking system is supplied by Brembo, a brand known worldwide for producing some of the most reliable and powerful braking components in motorsports.

The cockpit of the bike continues the theme of minimalism and modern technology. Instead of a bulky traditional dashboard, the Mean & Green features a compact digital speedometer from Motogadget, one of the most respected manufacturers of premium electronics for custom motorcycles.

This sleek gauge integrates perfectly into the handlebar setup and keeps the visual focus on the clean lines of the bike. The simplified controls and uncluttered cockpit give the rider a pure and direct connection with the machine while maintaining the futuristic aesthetic that defines the entire build.

What truly makes the Mean & Green unforgettable, however, is its spectacular paintwork. The metallic green finish highlights every curve of the custom bodywork and contrasts beautifully with the dark mechanical components and the titanium tones of the exhaust headers.

Under natural light the color appears almost luminous, emphasizing the aggressive design and giving the bike a powerful visual identity. This bold paint scheme, combined with the massive rear tire and sculpted body panels, ensures that the motorcycle attracts attention wherever it appears.

The Harley-Davidson V-Rod Mean & Green by Hans Bozzies is more than just a custom motorcycle; it is a demonstration of how far creativity and engineering can push a platform that was already revolutionary when it first appeared. By blending handcrafted components, high-end performance parts and a daring design language, Bozzies has created a machine that perfectly captures the spirit of modern custom culture. It is brutal, futuristic and unmistakably unique — a rolling piece of mechanical art that proves why the V-Rod remains one of the most exciting Harley-Davidson models ever built.
