Harley-Davidson Breakout Custom ‘Barracuda’ by Nine Hills Motorcycles

The definition of a barracuda—the creature from which this project takes its name—evokes the image of a long, slender, and highly predatory sea fish.

While our motorcycle has nothing to do with water, the rest of these characteristics describe it perfectly.

The Breakout already conceals a long, low, and sportily muscular silhouette. Our goal was to bring this presence fully into the open. We achieved this by revealing the factory-hidden potential through an entirely new bodywork concept: fuel tank, front and rear fenders, spoiler, headlight fairing, and saddle.

Another defining step was the complete elimination of chrome. Both the engine and the front suspension received a deep, dark finish, extending all the way to the wheels.

The heart of the engine was further enhanced with an Arlen Ness air filter, along with a timing cover and clutch cover from Roland Sands Design. The motorcycle now rides on new Metzeler tires—260/40/18 at the rear and 120/70/21 at the front—and features a relocated license plate, wave-style brake discs, and delicate mini LED indicators.

All these elements not only blend seamlessly and deliver a striking visual presence, but—together with the fully adjustable Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde exhaust system—also comply with EU regulations.
