This Harley-Davidson custom by Black Rose was created around a simple but challenging idea: to find the perfect balance between the elongated, monumental geometry of a chopper and the aggressive, dynamic character of a sportbike.
Rather than following the traditionally heavy visual language associated with custom cruisers, the design takes a sharper, more athletic direction, drawing inspiration from racing motorcycles and high-performance machines.
The result is a motorcycle defined by contrast. The immaculate white bodywork provides a clean, almost architectural base, while the complex gold-orange forged wheels introduce an unmistakable racing attitude. Aggressive suspension components, anodized front forks and black mechanical elements reinforce the sense of movement, giving the bike a visual energy that makes it appear fast even when standing still. The combination of luxury, performance and dramatic proportions was intended to reflect the owner’s elite status while breaking away from conventional Harley-Davidson custom design.
The project began with the development of the overall concept and the definition of the engineering and fabrication requirements. Moto Custom then carried out a high-precision 3D scan of the donor motorcycle, creating an accurate digital foundation for the complete design. From there, the company’s in-house specialists developed the concept, refined the proportions and engineered the components required to turn the design into a functioning motorcycle.
A significant part of the build involved custom engineering and fabrication. Moto Custom designed and produced the bespoke cantilever swingarm, complete bodywork, fuel tank and various performance-related components. Complex parts were machined from T6061 aluminium, combining the visual precision of CNC fabrication with the structural requirements of a high-end custom motorcycle. The result is a build where form and engineering are closely connected rather than simply adding cosmetic modifications to the original bike.
The motorcycle was completely dismantled before assembly began. Every new component was initially fitted and adjusted on the motorcycle to ensure correct alignment, clearances and overall integration. Once the mechanical assembly was completed, the bike underwent the necessary road testing, carried out personally by the Moto Custom team. Only after a satisfactory running-in period were the components sent to the paint shop for their final finish. This approach ensured that the immaculate appearance of the finished motorcycle came only after the mechanical and functional aspects of the build had been thoroughly tested.
Underneath the dramatic bodywork, the specification is equally serious. The motorcycle features an upgraded Brembo braking system with dual calipers, forged wheels measuring R21-260 and R23-130, CNC-machined footpegs, a new fork and custom triple trees. A bespoke cantilever swingarm changes the rear-end architecture, while air suspension gives the motorcycle its distinctive stance and allows the ride height to be adjusted. A custom exhaust system completes the mechanical transformation, while Rizoma lighting adds a modern, precision-machined touch to the overall package.
Visually, the white, black and gold-orange colour scheme is central to the motorcycle’s identity. The white bodywork keeps the design clean and sophisticated, allowing the oversized forged wheels to become the visual focal point. Orange detailing across the bodywork connects the wheels with the rest of the motorcycle, while the black engine, exhaust and suspension components provide contrast and visual weight.
What makes this Moto Custom Harley-Davidson particularly interesting is the way it refuses to fit neatly into a single category. It retains the imposing proportions and unmistakable presence of a chopper, but introduces the visual tension, braking hardware and aggressive stance normally associated with a sportbike. The result is a bespoke Harley-Davidson that combines chopper scale, racing-inspired attitude and precision engineering in one highly individual machine.
Rather than simply modifying a Harley-Davidson, Moto Custom has effectively rewritten its visual language. The finished motorcycle is a study in opposites—long yet aggressive, refined yet brutal, luxurious yet mechanical—and a clear example of how far a modern custom build can move beyond the traditional cruiser formula.
