In the Netherlands, Powerbrick Performance has crafted the BMW K1100RS Cafe ‘Vengeance‘, a marvel that boasts significant modifications aimed at enhancing its performance and aesthetics (Cafe racer style). For inquiries, they can be contacted via email at info@powerbrick-parts.com
Under the guidance of Tim Somers, the shop boss, this custom motorcycle transcends mere power upgrades. It’s a thoughtful effort to establish a more direct and responsive connection between the rider’s hand and the rear wheel. Notable modifications include meticulously ported heads, optimized timing facilitated by an NGK ignition system, and the conversion to a hydraulic clutch.
The motorcycle showcases a range of enhancements, such as new RC Racing aluminum radiators paired with SamcoSport silicon hoses for improved performance and style. The inline-four motor of each bike features a lineup of DNA filters, complemented by the installation of new Bosch EV14 injectors. Exhaust-wise, each K1100 sports a pie-cut stainless steel four-into-one system from MAD Exhausts, accompanied by a Powerbrick muffler.
Powerbrick has re-engineered the electrical system with a Bluetooth-enabled Motogadget brain, powered by a NOCO Lithium battery and equipped with a Ctek charging point.
TFX Suspension adjustable shocks grace the rear of each K1100. The wheels, custom-fitted billet aluminum pieces from AC Schnitzer initially designed for the BMW R nineT, have been adapted through custom-made adaptors. Brembo components and Venhill brake lines complete the braking systems.
Rather than attempting to alter the distinctive lines of the K1100RS’ fuel tank, Powerbrick chose to customize the rest of the bike’s bodywork to harmonize with it. Standout modifications include new subframes, machined from substantial aluminum billets. Comprising seven parts, these subframes accommodate the custom seat, electronics, a compact rear cowl, and an integrated taillight.
The design precision extends to the minutest details, exemplified by the seat mounting mechanism. The seat seamlessly slides into place under the rear cowl, fastened by two concealed bolts beneath the tank.
Laser and computer-guided production methods were heavily employed, eliminating human errors and ensuring consistency. The right side of bike has been opened up significantly, with only the battery suspended above the engine, made possible by an overhauled wiring system for greater efficiency.
The thoughtfulness extends to the cockpit, fitted with Powerbrick clip-ons, Brembo controls, Motogadget push buttons, and bar-end turn signals. Powebrick rear-set foot controls sit at a lower position for improved ergonomics.
Additional parts from Powerbrick’s catalog, such as headlight cowls encompassing Koso LED headlights, gas caps, and tank roundels, seamlessly integrate into the design.
The paintwork was skillfully executed by Royal Kustom Works, while the seats were crafted by Silvermachine, Europe’s esteemed motorcycle upholsterer.
