Inspired by racing aesthetics and muscular dragster lines, this Softail build combines aggressive stance, high-end engineering, and a clean silver finish that fully lives up to its Silverstone name. It is not just a customized Harley – it is a statement of style and precision.

Race-inspired design with Grand Prix DNA

The first thing that stands out on the Silverstone Dragster is the Thunderbike GP-Style bodywork. The Front Fender Thunderbike GP-Style and Rear Fender Thunderbike GP-Style 260mm stretch the lines of the bike, emphasizing the massive rear wheel and low-slung silhouette.

The Chin Fairing Thunderbike GP-Style and Fuel Tank Thunderbike Custom GP-Style continue this flowing Grand Prix look, creating a cohesive racing-inspired design from front to back.

To match the sleek body parts, Thunderbike added the Headlamp Cap Thunderbike, enhancing the compact and aggressive front end. The result is a motorcycle with strong track DNA but unmistakable Harley-Davidson character.

Premium controls and cockpit details

Riding position and control components play a big part in the Dragster look. The Silverstone features the Thunderbike Clip-On Grand Prix bicolor handlebar, which places the rider in an aggressive, forward stance.

This is complemented by the Grip Set Thunderbike Base Satin and Toppers Thunderbike Base, adding subtle visual refinement.

For ultimate control, the bike is equipped with Levers Rebuffini hydraulic set with switch, offering precision feel and premium machining quality. Completing the ergonomics setup are the Forward Controls Thunderbike V-Tech, giving the Silverstone the stretched drag-style riding posture.

Custom intake, airbox, and engine accents

Thunderbike continued the Grand Prix theme into the engine area. A Thunderbike Airbox Baseplate works together with the Thunderbike Air Cleaner Airbox Kit and the stylish Airbox Cover Thunderbike Grand Prix. This combination not only enhances performance but also keeps the visual language consistent throughout the build.

The details matter – which is why parts like the Derby Cover Thunderbike Drilled and Ignition Cover Thunderbike New Custom were chosen. These touches reinforce the custom character and highlight the engine as the true heart of the Silverstone Dragster.

Single-sided swingarm and performance braking

One of the most eye-catching elements of the Silverstone build is the Thunderbike Single-Side Swingarm Kit 21”. This conversion exposes the custom rear wheel completely on one side, giving the bike a premium custom-show look while emphasizing the wide rear tire.

Braking performance is handled by a Brembo Radial Monoblock M4 brake caliper. This component comes directly from the high-performance motorcycle world and fits perfectly with the racing-inspired concept of the build.

Suspension, front end, and chassis components

To control power and improve handling, Thunderbike installed the Front End Thunderbike Radial Kit Grand Prix. This works together with the Triple Tree Thunderbike Grand Prix bicolor, providing stiffness, precision steering, and a distinctive visual signature.

The Seat Plate Thunderbike flows neatly into the rear section, completing the dynamic line of the dragster profile. Thunderbike’s design ensures that every component appears intentional and integrated, not simply added on.

Lighting and visual finishing touches

Attention to detail continues with carefully selected lighting elements such as Thunderbike Front Turn Signals and Thunderbike License Plate Lighting, keeping the rear minimalist and clean while remaining street-ready.

The exhaust note plays a major role in the overall experience, and the Thunderbike Exhaust delivers the deep sound and visual presence expected from a custom Harley-Davidson dragster. Custom Thunderbike Wheels complete the look, adding motion even when the bike is standing still.

A complete custom concept

The Harley-Davidson Softail Dragster “Silverstone” by Thunderbike is not just a list of aftermarket parts – it is a coherent concept motorcycle. Every modification supports the central idea: a drag-inspired, Grand Prix-styled Softail that blends elegance with aggression.

The Thunderbike RS-O is a great example of how precise German engineering meets bold custom motorcycle design.

It is built on the Thunderbike RS Racing Series Dragster frame and has a very low, aggressive stance that immediately suggests speed and power. Every detail of the motorcycle is carefully designed, and the result is a custom Harley-style drag bike that looks fast even when it is standing still.

Thunderbike is based in Hamminkeln on the Lower Rhine and is one of the best-known custom bike builders in Europe. Their fame grew after they won the AMD European Championship of Custom Bike Building in 2006 with the “Spectacular,” and again in 2008 with “Open Mind.” Even though these bikes were showpieces, Thunderbike follows one clear rule: every motorcycle that leaves the workshop must be rideable. As an official Harley-Davidson dealer and parts manufacturer, they build most components themselves, making them one of the few builders who can truly create motorcycles starting from the frame.

The Thunderbike RS-O is a complete construction based on the RS Racing Series, which is an evolution of the Dragster frame. The goal was simple: create a sporty, flat and powerful line. To achieve this, the frame uses large-diameter tubes for strength, curved 45 mm downtubes, a strong 70 mm steering head with an internal stop, and newly shaped side sections. The result is a compact and muscular motorcycle with a crouched look that seems ready to launch forward.

The RS-O is powered by a Screamin’ Eagle 103 CUI Twin-Cam engine. This engine gives the bike strong acceleration and the classic Harley-Davidson character that riders love. It uses original Harley injection electronics, so it also meets modern exhaust emission standards. Apart from the drivetrain, almost everything else on the motorcycle is made by Thunderbike themselves. Parts are designed, machined, welded and finished directly in their workshop.

The chassis underlines the performance character of the bike. At the front, a TB-RS upside-down fork with 4 degrees of rake gives the motorcycle a compact appearance and precise handling. Thunderbike also produces the handlebars, grips and front fender. A 130 Metzeler tire sits on a TB Vegas Cut 4.5×18″ wheel, and braking is handled by an ABM radial caliper together with a 300 mm TB-Spoke brake disc.

At the rear, a Tricky Air Ride suspension allows the rider to adjust the height and comfort. The single-sided TB RS swingarm holds a massive 10×18″ TB Vegas Cut rim with a wide 280 Metzeler tire. Rear braking is provided by a Nissin six-piston caliper working on a perimeter wave disc. The tank, rear fender and footrests are also Thunderbike in-house creations.

The paintwork gives the RS-O its final personality. The design idea was created by Andreas Bergerforth and airbrush artist Ingo Kruse. The color combination of matte black and orange with racing checkered graphics highlights the drag racing style of the bike. The finish looks clean, fast and very purposeful.

Black Steel Choppers of Austria has unveiled a striking dragster-style custom motorcycle that embodies both raw performance and artistic craftsmanship.

This exclusive build, finished in a special Gulf Racing Edition, showcases the workshop’s signature blend of precision engineering and bold visual identity.

The bike features a muscular stance, low-slung geometry, and aggressive lines that recall the spirit of straight-line racing. Its handcrafted metalwork, exposed frame elements, and meticulously routed exhaust system highlight the technical artistry for which Black Steel Choppers is renowned. The lightweight components and performance-oriented setup contribute to its powerful dragster character.

The Gulf Edition theme adds an iconic touch: subtle orange accents and racing-inspired detailing that pay homage to one of motorsport’s most legendary color schemes.

Combined with modern components, oversized wheels, and a clean, industrial finish, the motorcycle delivers a perfect fusion of racing heritage and contemporary custom design.

With this build, Black Steel Choppers once again demonstrates its ability to push boundaries—creating a machine that is not only visually arresting but also engineered for pure performance. We would like to introduce you to a very special duo: the Porsche 911 GT3 RS with the Weissach Package, and the custom Harley-Davidson Softail Breakout built to match it: the Thunderbike GP-Weissach.

Together with our customer Stefan, we created a project that bridges the gap between high-performance automotive engineering and handcrafted custom motorcycle design. This is not our first collaboration with him. Nearly ten years ago, Stefan inspired one of our most iconic builds, the Lamborghini Aventador–themed Thunderbike OUTERLIMIT. Now, the story continues with a new interpretation of power, precision and style.

The inspiration for the GP-Weissach project comes directly from Stefan’s Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992.1), a machine that represents the ultimate track-focused driving experience. Its 4.0-liter naturally aspirated engine delivers 525 hp, accelerating the 1450 kg car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. The Weissach Package further enhances performance by reducing weight by around 15 kilograms through targeted lightweight construction.

Visible high-gloss carbon components such as the front hood, roof, exterior mirrors and wing elements emphasize the motorsport character. Inside, the combination of Race-Tex upholstery, red contrast stitching, magnesium shift paddles and carbon fiber surfaces reflects a pure racing atmosphere. Even the magnesium wheels finished in Pyrored inspired the key color accents of our motorcycle.

For the bike, we selected the Harley-Davidson Breakout FXBRS with Milwaukee-Eight engine as the foundation. This model offers the ideal frame geometry to integrate our GP rear conversion and the substantial 9×21-inch rear wheel. The cockpit retains the original digital speedometer but is now seamlessly integrated into a custom-milled triple clamp. The goal was not to copy the Porsche, but to interpret its attitude. Colors, proportions, finishes and materials were chosen to translate the GT3 RS design language into a new aesthetic expression on two wheels.

The GP-Weissach incorporates the latest developments from our high-end GP component line. It features aerodynamically optimized triple clamps, redesigned handlebar mounts with Rebuffini RR90 controls, and a new GP front mask, all contributing to a dynamic and athletic stance. The open primary drive adds mechanical transparency and highlights the powertrain.

The single-sided swingarm, milled from a solid block of aluminum, allows an unobstructed view of the wheel. An air suspension system at the front and a hydraulically adjustable rear setup lower the bike when parked, giving it a dramatic, grounded presence.

A defining aspect of the design is the use of Pyrored accents, directly referencing the Porsche’s wheel color. The wheels of the GP-Weissach are milled from a single piece, then selectively machined after anodizing to create depth, sharp edges and visual motion. Their five-spoke Y-design appears lightweight and technical, perfectly matching the sporty and high-end character of the build. The exposed 21-inch rear wheel, combined with the perimeter brake system, serves as both a functional and visual centerpiece that underscores the precision and craftsmanship of the motorcycle.

At the end of the project, Stefan summed up his feelings in one sentence: “My goal was 100%. You delivered 110%.” For us, that is the greatest recognition. The GP-Weissach is more than a custom motorcycle. It is the translation of supercar performance philosophy into hand-built motorcycle culture. A Porsche created for the racetrack, and a Harley reinvented to share its spirit. Two machines, one shared heartbeat of motorsport passion.
